After the good vibes I collected from Fade to Blonde, I thought it would only be righteous to compile another mix of actual music that soundtracked our last party here on South Street in Philadelphia.  The latest party was for 4th of July.  To celebrate the day of penultimate patriotism, we brought the essentials: burgers, fresh cherries, lite beer that tastes like lime, tiny fire crackers, absinthe, and of course….wrongful arrests.  Realize it’s all real (c) Pitch Black

Naturally, selections from the Team America World Police soundtrack had to be included, as was J Dilla’s funky takedown of Detroit’s finest boys in blue.  There all here, from Hudson Mohawke to The Kills to a spry LL Cool J lusting for bouncing earrings, chilling on the front deck, stuffing their faces with hot dogs, and doing the Dame Dash dance to “Throw Some D’s On It”.   Hope you enjoy it!
