Quick update today, mainly because it’s Father’s Day and also because my feet are screaming after running my first 5K (mental note: always run on 4 hours sleep after a night of burgers and beer).
Nerd Litter, one of the best blogs you mofo’s should be up on by now, has an great analysis of the song “Philly Codes” featuring 2ew Gunn Ciz and my stinkin’ ass from Nico’s album No Beast So Fierce. The overall idea of representin’ in hip hop is examined with some lyrics from the song used to show why us rappers talk shit about our hometown all the while singing its praises. We’re all walking contradictions I supposed.
